Salvation without a stitch

Yes, Jesus can adopt us to be His children and set us free totally. “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” [John 1:12].

Many of us are working hard in many various ways to become sons of gods, little immortals, deities so that we can earn a place in the celestial kingdom. Of course there’s is a whole lot more who don’t give a hoot, I live for now.

Stephen Covey in his 7 Habits – Habit #2 begin with the end in mind. If our end is to be with our God in his Celestial kingdom, then the #1 Proactive starts now, no not out works but the work of Christ Jesus.

The rights to the Celestial is not based on out merits but the merits of the Celestial King, the creator of Heavens and the earth, King of kings and Lords of Lords – Jesus. If it ever depended a pinch on us, we are doomed and undone.

Spurgeon, CharlesSalvation is finished, complete; otherwise, he would not have ascended up on … not one stitch is required to that glorious garment of his — not one patch to that …

Salvation without one stitch!

Charles Spurgeon put it, “If we have to put one stitch into the garment of our salvation, we shall ruin the whole thing.”
