Open our eyes

2 Kings 6:17King James Version (KJV) – And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Today my thoughts were drawn to this verse early in the morning. It all started when a my good brother Nat was starting his first day at Chiangmai Technical College. (http://welcometo.cmtc.ac.th/) I was just sharing that God is with us all the time, sometimes and often times we just do not see it. We need to pray that God will open our eyes and senses to know that and be confident that he is near us, just as Elisha prayed to open the eyes.. lo and behold the huge group of the Lord’s army!

On a personal level – many times we ignore or within our own busyness, we totally forget that God is with us and that we have not look first to him as our provider, but trusted in our own limited human wisdom to derive solutions. Of course it is not a bad thing to use our own wisdom, we fail to pray and ask God for his heavenly wisdom.

Oh may I continue to remain in touch with God’s to tap on his wisdom as I go about my daily life.
