2015 – which means I’m 39 this year, not getting any younger and hitting the 40s soon. We are the pioneer generation that saw the technology changed so rapidly

  1. From 512kb RAM to GBs of RAMs.
  2. From 25mb Hard Disks to TBs of storage.
  3. From land line to mobile lines
  4. From 14” monitor to 27” LCD Monitors
  5. From TV to Youtube
  6. … and the lists goes on

This is amazing and this technology advances is not new and had been prophesied in the Holy Bible way before even Jesus was born on earth.

Daniel 12:4 – … even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

There are 2 key points here that will occur towards end of time

  1. many shall run to and fro – Massive transport and travels
  2. knowledge shall be increased – Massive increase in knowledge

The technology that we are witnessing is frightening where anyone can do a comparison.

We are also the generation to witness the drastic decline of morale values.

2 Timothy 3:3-7 –

3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Today I had an interesting conversation about ancestral worship with a colleague who spoke about the rituals of combining incense ashes etc and all. He also shared about a relative who became a Christian towards the end of her life because she loved Christian songs. I shared my opinion that we all know there is heaven and hell. Everybody knows how to go to hell, but not many people know about Heaven.

Only Jesus can bring us to heaven and I will not rely this important journey to anyone else. What if my loved ones screw up the rituals, or worst do not do the rituals? Why should I bother them with the rituals which causes them to be exhausted and even falling sick? These rituals are not cheap, which means folks who cannot afford will have no chance to go to heaven.

The logic does not sound right to me. How can I go to heaven when I’m already dead? And if I’m dead, how can I depend on someone to burn “hell notes, hell money, hell …” you name it to me? I’m in total dependence on them! This is an extremely scary thought.

Fact is human are not dependable not because they are not trust worthy… but they too will die one day and they too will need someone else to “burn” for them. So then who can “burn” for us?

Truth of the matter is we do not roam the spiritual world when we die – but judgment.

Heb 9:27 – And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

The good news is on the next verse.. “28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

JESUS! Jesus is the only person who had ever died, and now alive forever more. He does not need to burn anything for us. In fact he promises us never to roam anymore but of mansions!

Jn 14:2 – In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

I would rather choose Jesus than silver and gold. For my life on earth is only so brief when compared to eternity. I want to spend my eternity in a place that is away from hell, in heaven.

The choice is ours… what would you choose?
