Remembrance

Remembrance

Is it by chance or by luck that we can sometimes recall from scripture and apply? Or even meditate on? I’m sure there is no chance or luck in our Christian life.

Today, the phrase “bring to your remembrance” was pounding in my head. Did a google for it, “26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:26 This once again brings to memory 1 Thess 5:19 “Quench not the Spirit.”

Have you been brought to remembrance of God’s word daily? Have you been data entrying God’s word into our mind? If there is no data in mind, how can it be brought to remembrance? Thus the need for bible reading, bible studying, and memory verses. While many of these verses, I have not specifically memorized before, I read. It was brought to remembrance again.

Again, brought to remembrance is Psalms 1:2 “But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
