re·pent·ance [ri-pen-tns, –pen-tuh ns]
1. deep sorrow, compunction, or contrition for a past sin, wrongdoing, or the like.
2. regret for any past action.

I felt the definition of repentance was very shallow here. The biblical definition of repentance is a change of heart. Change of direction. Change of action. Change of mindset. Emotional attachments related to repentance is only skin deep. In all these changes, it’s towards God and for glory. One can be genuine. But if it ain’t directed towards God, that’s only as good as worldly repentance.

Acts 11:21 we read, "And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord." This is Biblical repentance… acknowledging one’s guilt of sin and turning to the Lord for forgiveness.’s%20Corner/Doctrines/repentance.htm
