The Boat Read: Acts 6:1-7
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10

Today’s ODB reflects my exact sentiments when it comes to Church services. I like to call them services to the King! The church needs us. Then you’d say why so? God will provide the worker. Yes, God provided, that’s us. Are we going to be the ‘good and faithful’ servant? Of the ‘slothful sluggard’?

I’m reminded of the need to serve the King, the church, and in the service, serving the home too. How does the home gets served? Bring them into the church service! Then we’d be serving each other.

How are we in service? Are we just serving when free? Or sacrifically?

I recalled a pastor mentioned of the example of Moses, and Aaron’s son.
In Numbers 3:4, Aaron’s children offered strange fire to God, they were struck dead. Aaron, instead of mourning as much as he’d like to, Moses advised him to stay in service there and then. Let others take care of his dead sons. Which struck me with several observations here: 1. Focus on God even if family matter arises. Aaron both son died! 2. Let others serve your family.
3. Of course this is during course of duty.
4. Important still to care for family.
