Hot, luke-warm or cold?

Sometime back, I posted a Spiritual Thermometer. Are we healthy in Christ, or cold towards Christ?
Yesterday, our Pastor conveyed a very apt message. Are we a healthy Church or a Sick Church? And notice, it is being addressed to the Church. Full article can be found here.

Similar if Jesus is going to address his view, he will address to the churches too just as he has done in the Book of Revelations. Even Paul, the apostle, his epistles are usually addressed to the churches. What does this mean? It is not me, or you, but US!

Are we content that we are saved in Christ, thus we can kick back, relax, sing a few hymns, drop a few donations, and we are good to go? No. I’m not talking about legalism and passing judgment here. People cannot discern men’s heart, but God can. I know my father-in-law wants to do more for God, but at his age of 80+, he could not do much, feeling frustrated. Such is the serving spirit. Money, work, family, hobbies, self, etc are all important. It is usually so convenient to put God as last priority. Note, it does not mean the rest are not in priority, but what is the order of priority? What is our foremost priority while the rest fills up after?

Paul’s letter to the Galatians 2:7-10
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life ever-lasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the
household of faith.

Ecclesiastes 12:1
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

Revelation 3:16
KJV So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
NLT But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!

Revelation 3:15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot.

May God help is to continue to be hot for him.
