Christian, Disciple, either or both? II
I put my thoughts on this other day, and have found out more on this topic.

Apparently there is 2 school of thoughts I heard.
Calvinism – OSAS. Once Saved, Always Saved
Arminianism – One can fall away from grace of Jesus.

Yet in another site I read, “… In the sinner’s pray at the bottom of the link I provided, it says “I am willing to turn from sin…” The Bible NEVER asks us to give up anything to receive God’s FREE gift of salvation except our unbelief. I hate the damnable heresy that tells people that can’t get saved unless they turn from sin. Show me that in the Bible! This does not give us a License to Sin, it simply means that discipleship does not affect our salvation. Jesus NEVER asked us to follow Him to be saved, ONLY to believe on Him.”

Either way, whatever is the view, my view is simply stay close to Jesus, and obey his commandments. 🙂

This verse comes to mind 1 Corinthians 3:15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
But this verse is about our works for Christ, being tested through fire if it indeed be for Jesus. If yes, it will not be burnt. If No, poof! Ashes and Cinders so to speak! However, our salvation in Jesus is secured.
