We are described in the rich biblical imageries as a soldier .athlete, farmer .piilgirm , priest, ambassador, watchman, stranger,steward, witness, colabourer and fellow builder , light and salt (and others) and let us strive by God’s enablement to be such.
Someone prayed “Lord, give me patience and i want it now “Patience is a rare quality these days and it carries with it a lot of WAIT. Psa 27:4 says “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”While curiosity kills the cat, impatience can also hasten it sometimes
The Christian should be cognizant of his historic past (Jer 6:16), walking soberly as a non -Conformist in this present world (Rom 12:,2, Tit 2:12) and inhabit the future, watching (Mk 13:33) and waiting with great anticipation and preparedness,(Rom 13:11) the imminent coming of the Sovereign Almighty Jehovah (Tit 2:13, Rev 22:20).
