Constant Lower Back Ache/Pain

I have seen a Chiropractor since Sept till now, no improvement.
Finally sometime in December, he stopped temporary and advised me to get another opinion.

Saw a Chinese “Tui Na”, gosh, it was hellish. 2 sessions I stopped.
Each time I walked out of the “Tui Na”
It felt like I had been hammered on my lower back. I walked like a duck out.

Saw a Raffles GP, diagnosed as IT Band Injury. Cannot be right, that is a one off injury.
I know my right leg is tight, cramps often, but no. Finally got an xray taken.
It came back with a Horde of Diagnosis.

Finally got referred to a specialists, and got a written memo to my military officer. My L5 is loose and has a constant wear and tear. In fact the entire spine is worn. Recommended surgery, lock L5 to sacrum to stop further wear and tear. Else it will only get worse over time.

The chinese doc said the opposite. My nerves are injured. The blood flow is not good. Clogged.

The common between both doc was if I had seek medical help immediately, it will be much better, more hope for better recovery. But I did not, and carry on exercising and made it worst.

Either way, what’s done is done. Perhaps even if I had seen earlier, it will also result in a similar situation, perhaps slightly better only.

The only common thing that both “East” and “West” doc said were:

  1. No Running
  2. No Jumping
  3. No Loading
  4. No Cure
  5. Can only prevent it from getting worse
  6. Can only take medicine/acupuncture to ease the constant pain/ache

Oh Welll…

Medical Review at Jurong Camp

Nightmare. Getting there was a nightmare. First time to Jurong Camp. I thought by starting off from home at 7am, 1.5h (90mins) to get there for my 8.30am medical appt. What can go wrong?? 1.5h is alot!

Very WRONG. PIE heavy traffic the minute I turned in from Thomson. 40kmh all the way to almost Clementi Ave 6. 45 mins. Exited wrongly at Jalan Bahar. Wtf! One way road. Jam. Travel from CDA, Home Team, NTU, Bukit Batok.. Lost. 40 mins.

Finally hit back into PIE and saw Pioneer Road. Some signboards saying Jurong Camp 2. Drove pass camp 2. Finally Jurong Camp.

The medical review slip says Jurong Camp. So headed there. Exchanged pass. Where’s the Medical Center mate? Camp 2. o.O

Fine. JC and JC2 are linked. Good. At least they were. Picked up a fellow mate who was walking and finally reach medical center. 8.30am SHARP.
Booked in. Wait.

Wait. Pee break. Wait. Wait.Wait.Wait. Poo break. 1h.
Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.
Pee break. Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.
Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.

Finally 10am, they started calling us in.
Saw the MO. ‘what letters have u got to show me?’ gave him the letters. I tried to explain but he said save it. No need to explain. Fill up some forms, he wrote some letters. Done in 6 mins.

Get out.
Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.
Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.Wait.

Finally at 10.30am, my name was called again.
Excuse IPPT 3 months.

where’s the board? 3 months later. They’ll summon me. ???

I was there from 8.30am to 10.30am, solid 2h wait for a 6 min appt.

I booked the medical review early Dec, only slot avail is end Jan (today), and the board is 3 months later. All in all need at least 5 months.

Brilliant.
