Changi Board Walk Part I

Day 02 of my Annual Leave, Day 04 of the CNY Lunar New Year, Thursday.
This time. we brought the whole family to Changi Board Walk.
We have heard about it, but had no idea where it was, the only clue we had was near the sea, and it is possibly in Changi.
(Possible since Tanglin School is somewhere now in the West in the midst of Clementi, no where near Tanglin)

Isaac is probably the most excited. He enjoys outdoor activities. Even if it means sitting in the stroller.
The weather was cloudy, we prayed that the rain would probably hold out. Samuel was thrilled to be going to the seaside.
However, he was fast asleep the minute our car drove out of the carpark.

It was about a nice 20+ min drive from our home. We took the CTE to PIE to TPE exit Changi Point Road direction.
Drove along Loyang Avenue, past the Changi Point ‘makan’ (eating) area to the popular SAF Chalets.
Changi Golf Course, Changi Sailing  Club are the landmarks we are looking forward.

When we saw the Changi Sailing Club, the carpark was not open to public, only for labelled cars.
Hmm, my car has plenty of labels.. does that qualifies? ;P
Anyway, we drove one round the carpark and parked at the public carpark outside.
It has only 4 lots.

Without wasting much time, Big Samuel took the Red Stroller while he slept.
Isaac took the light weight Blue Stroller.

Offfff we go!

We both took turns to carry the strollers up and down the steps (there are quite a fair bit of
locations not stroller friendly). The end point for us was the stairs to the “Cliff Point”.
Too much steps for both of us with the strollers, and decided to turn back.
Take a slow walk and head home.

Nice Weather. Good sea breeze. No Crowd. No Noise. Just the sound of the waves and the birds. Loooovely.

Changi Board Walk

The wooden pillars supporting the board walk are very colorful. Numerous tinges of brown, my favorite color. Brown.

Changi Board Walk

With a place like this, I can sit there and face the sea everyday. The swing is simply alluring.

Changi Board Walk

The “cross” caught my attention. The red reminds me of the cleansing blood of Christ, setting us free from the bondage of sin when he died and rose again 3 days after at the cross.

Changi Board Walk

A rusty handle. Very interesting, Again is many tones of brown attracts me. I like brown. :)
It is peeling like a tree bark.

Changi Board Walk

Lots of greeneries and shelters for folks. Couples too.

Changi Board Walk

Samuel mentioned Duck Tour when he saw this. :P
Looked similar.

Another View From the Board Walk

Changi Board Walk

Not swimming sign, but rather a drowning sign.

Changi Board Walk

This part was impassable. 2 of the tiles were badly slanted due to soil erosion.
Interesting, the 3rd “whatever” appears to be having a lipstick. :)

Changi Board Walk

Boats.. algae.

Changi Board Walk

Singapore.

Changi Board Walk

A blue tractor for the blue sea.

Changi Board Walk

Cloudy skies, calm seas.

Boats aligned.

Changi Board Walk

The long walk out. Nope, we did not go there.

Nice clean sands, lovely beach. Foot prints can be seen on the sand.
