How do you hold your pencil, pen, etc? I know I am not holding it the correct way. I grew up holding my pen in the most terrible manner. It invites lots of curious questions as to how I held my pen in a fist like manner.
I like folks who are able to hold their pen well. It just feels, and looks good. I suppose it is effective and efficient too when it comes to writing long posts. I recalled my index finger hurt since my fist like grip presses the pen against.

If I held a fountain pen, it will be in this manner. Coz my fist grip will not allow the ink to flow.
WORST! Am scrapping the edge of the fountain pen against the paper. Scrrrrrreeeeeech. Eeeek.

What’s your grip like?

Hmm, my teacher used to scold me for holding the pencil in that exact fist-grip, actually, so perhaps I’d be doing the same if she hadn’t been so insistent.
Still, I think being comfortable is most important, and if you are, why not.
hi Vicky, thanks! Yeah! I’m very comfortable with the fist grip. The only problem is the same as the original problem. Can’t write for long! Fist grip tends to exert alot of force, so pens dun usually lasts long, papers have line imprints, and pencil leads breaks. Lol!!
Gosh, now that you brought it up, I don’t know! I mean, I know I don’t do the fist grip but I have had people say I grip a pen weirdly. I feel like I should take some photos.
haha Kim! Go take pics! Is interesting!
I thought I was the only person on Earth who writes with a fist grip. It makes me feel better to know I’m not alone! Haha. I try all the time to hold a pen the “right” way but I always go back to holding it with a fist. My teachers in grade 1 tried to hard to teach me to write the “right” way. Didn’t work. Now I’m 19. And I’m left handed!
Haha! I know how it feels. Coz i still write in dust grip once awhile here I am most comfortable in.
